Ed Pennington graduated from a Military High School and then attended the University of Arizona where he received his BS degree. After
graduating he managed a retail men's clothing store until one day he and his high school best friend were asked to play guitars and sing at
a local night club. Well, Ed quickly decided to quit the long hours of managing the clothing store and work full time as a musician. He and
his buddy "Kim" found themselves playing music all around the country and opening for acts such as "The Ink Spots", Little Anthony and
The Imperials" and "The Stories" just to name a few.
After approximately 5 years of the music business Ed decided to open an athletic footwear business know as "The Athlete's Foot" and
eventually open retail stores in Ohio, Arizona and Texas. The retail business led him to exporting large quantities of Nike, Reebok,
Converse and Addidas shoes into Mexico and South America.
This business also led Ed to Arizona where he got his first taste of the Real Estate business by joining up with his partner Dave Fraker in
the building/development business in Tucson. Ed and Dave were quite successful builders and eventually helped develop a 356 acre parcel
of vacant land against the Santa Catalina Mountains in Tucson. Ed spent almost 10 years developing and building in that project where he
still returns today to his friends that he sold beautiful lots to in "Finisterra".
When that project was completed, and wanting to be closer to his mother who was in failing health, Ed moved back East where he
purchased a Chevrolet dealership and soon added Mitisubishi to the mix. After successfully turning the dealership around he became
partners with a local Cadillac Oldsmobile dealer and put Chevrolet, Cadillac and Oldsmobile under one roof.
Ed eventually sold his share to his partner and was asked to become the CEO of a local children's home that took care of abused and
neglected children who were wards of the state. Not having children of his own or a background in "social work" Ed found this job to be
quite the challenge but once again he succeeded in taking care of over 400 children with a lot help from his staff. Ed remembers the sad
stories the children had to tell but is happy that many of the children in their care had successful outcomes and are now important people in
society who made it through the tragedy of their childhood.
Ed has been a Top Producer in Sedona for the past 13 years and he was the No. 1 Producer in Sedona for 2013. Plus, with the prestige of Sotheby’s branding, doors to buyers & sellers open all over the world.

When Ed met Jeanette, he knew there was something very special about her dedication to her clients and passion for real estate. When Ed approached Jeanette in late 2014 and asked her if she would consider joining the #1 Top Producing “Pennington Team” and move to Sedona from Flagstaff, Jeanette gave it careful consideration and joined the Sedona team in January, 2015. “It was the best decision to partner with Ed and work with the most talented and caring group of agents on his team”, Jeanette comments. Relationships with other Realtors, having an abundance of luxury buyers, having an outstanding reputation in the community and the Valley has led to the team’s success in selling homes quickly. “The internet and buyers share a complimentary relationship”, Jeanette exclaims, “and continue to be the most important resource in the home buying search process”. What most clients do not know about Jeanette is she spent over 15 years in the financial arena. In 2000 – 2007, Jeanette’s most memorable achievements was in helping to build one of the largest privately held lenders in the country from infancy to the fourth largest student loan consolidation lenders in the nation in 2006, right behind Wells Fargo. By the end of year 2006 alone, Jeanette’s division funded over $4.7 Billion Dollars in loans.. This achievement took the company straight to Wall Street where the Company achieved “AAA” ratings and by 2007, was valued at $200 million dollars, according to Venture Capitalists who proposed an offer to purchase the Company. In early fall, Jeanette Sauer, the Executive Vice President of Loan Operations had 200 employees reporting to her in the loan op’s division. When four owners cashed in their shares of the company, Jeanette seized her opportunity to cash in her share knowing the owner’s desire was to sell and take the Company public. Jeanette’s decision to cash in before the economic crash boded well for her as she decided to invest in real estate, obtained her real estate license (something she secretly wanted to do in her 20’s) and also began to travel the world and started to write a book in 2011.
Jeanette’s favorite hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, yoga, kayaking and writing. Since childhood, Jeanette has had a love for the outdoors, a love for people and animals. A few of the most beautiful and memorable places Jeanette recalls visiting were New Zealand, Costa Rica and Japan. “Now”, she states, “I am so fortunate to work full-time in one of the most beautiful places in the world with all the outdoor elements I can enjoy year round. What a blessing to help people achieve their dreams living in Sedona!
